Notary Fees

Tell us where you need the appointment and what prepared document you have. We’ll provide an itemized quote before you book. Inquiries and quotes are free.

A $35 reservation payment secures your appointment and is applied to your quoted total.

Call us to discuss your document needs and appointment location. We’ll review your itemized quote and cancellation terms with you before collecting the $35 reservation payment.

Your service authorization may be signed digitally before your appointment or on paper when we arrive, before service begins. Please let us know if you need large print or would like the form read aloud.

Need to change plans? Cancel at least four hours before your appointment for a full refund. For a later cancellation or no-show, the $35 reservation payment is retained for the time reserved.

For appointments booked less than four hours in advance, you may cancel within 15 minutes of booking for a full reservation refund, provided the notary has not departed. After that, the $35 reservation payment is retained for a late cancellation or no-show.

If The Notary Doula cancels, you receive a full refund. No notarial fee is charged for an act that was not performed.

For the convenience of our clients, The Notary Doula offers mobile notary services for individuals who need important documents completed in the comfort of their home, hospital, or care facility. These services may be scheduled alongside Affairs Readiness support or as a standalone appointment when document notarization is needed.

Mobile Convenience Fees

• 24 hours or more notice: No convenience fee.

• At least 2 hours but less than 24 hours: $35.

• Less than 2 hours: $50.

Only one convenience fee applies per appointment. Travel and notarial fees are itemized separately. Short-notice appointments are subject to availability.

Travel Fees

Up to 10 miles: $35
Over 10–20 miles: $50
Over 20–30 miles: $65
Over 30–40 miles: $85

Additional mileage available upon request.

Notarization fees are charged separately in accordance with Texas notary law.

Printing a client-requested document: $2 per page
Additional ordinary copies: $1 per page
Obtaining a specific form requested by the client: Quoted before the appointment

If you bring your prepared document, there is no printing or document supply charge. Printing and copies are charged only for pages we produce. If you ask us to obtain a specific form for you, we will quote that work before providing it.
